Window setter.

A friend of mine has a boat and for two years a holder of a boat window is broken.  It is a little piece of plastic.  It is no longer available on the market. He knew that I have a 3D printer and he  asked me if I could make a copy of the item.  That was no problem. It was not important that it would be an exact copy of the thing.  Only that the functionality stays the same.
I don't have a scanner so I had to create the object first in Blender to get a 3d mesh. It went quite quick.  In a couple of hours it was ready.  And then I transported it to the Ultimaker 3D printer. It is the old type printer which I had to build myself.
   And it worked fine...

On the right side you see the old broken one. It was glued together. The diameter is only 0.95mm. So I printed the copies on the bottom side wider because this way it had more stability on the printbed of the 3D printer.  Before using them the bottomside has to be removed. This can be done with a small iron saw.  It was printed in upright position.  It took about 4 hours to make those 4 pieces.
