The statue is 26.6 cm tall and it is 22.6 cm wide. A bit to large to print in one piece so I split the statue in two. Cura says that the bottom part will take 9:09 hours to print and takes 8.01 meter of filament.
I started the print in the afternoon about 13:30 and it lastet till around 22:00 hours. The total printtime was 8:24 hours which is half an hour shorter then expected. The print went good. I have been watching the last 10 minutes of the print in the machine. A couple of times the printhead was touching the object so that it moved. Luckely all went ok.
On the next image you see the raft and support material. And when I got it away.
The bottom part fits good into the Bamboo Skewers Cube. Allthough I should have designed the rim more carefully.
The next day I started the print for the upper part around 6:30 am. In the next picture you see the raft material that is being created for the object.
Here after 2:50 hours printtime and 23% is done.
After 3:16 hours it was already working on the hands on the far end of the print. This gave some worries because the printhead touches the part of the hands and moved it....
And here after 6:33 hours of printing and 74% is done. It seems ok. I will certainly have some work to remove the traces of the supportmaterial with the dremel.
And here after 99% was done and 7:48 hours past.
A minute later I could get the platform out.
The total printtime for the upperpart was 7:48 hours. Then I cleaned it with the dremel from all the support material.
And I glued this item to the bottompart and sticked it into the Bamboo Skewers Cube... It looks great. Awfully great... A piece of art.
